Ottawa Bike and Trail Participation Waiver

Ottawa Bike and Trail takes no responsibility for any bodily injury or harm incurred by cyclists participating in any events and using any information provided on the Ottawa Bike and Trail website. We believe strongly in responsible riding and do not support, encourage or condone reckless and irresponsible behavior while cycling. We believe it is the riders responsibility to take care of ones self and actions. Abiding by traffic laws, state laws for cycling and watching out for hazards, pedestrians and vehicles are critical for safe and responsible riding.

Every riders participating in any of the rides or events hosted by Ottawa Bike and Trail or listed on the website agree to the following terms:

I acknowledge that I understand this waiver’s intent, and I for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and representatives, do hereby agree and will absolve and hold harmless Ottawa Bike and Trail, fellow riders, and  any other parties connected with this event/these events in any way, from and against any blame and liability for any harm, lost, inconvenience or any other damage of any kind whatsoever, which may result from or be connected in any way from my participation in this event/these events.

In addition to the absolute and unqualified release from all liability, I hereby represent that I am physically capable of participating in this event/these events; that my bicycle and any other equipment I may use is in good working condition; that I will observe all applicable traffic and event rules; and that i will wear a helmet and generally conduct myself in a safe and prudent manner while participating in the event/event(s).

Cycling is a dangerous sport and I fully understand that I am responsible solely for my well being in Ottawa Bike and Trail events.

I certify that i have read this waiver and release and understand its significance.
