Rivendell Roaduno - Single-Speed, All-Road Custom Build

Rivendell Roaduno
We built this Rivendell Roaduno back in 2024, and while this bike has already gone to a very good home, it was simply too beautiful not to share. The build itself is a fairly standard Rivendell build, so I won’t go into too much detail—the photos really tell the story.
That said, one of the most common questions we get is: What’s the difference between a Rivendell Roaduno and a Roadini?
The Rivendell Roaduno is based on the Rivendell Homer platform. It uses 120mm rear spacing, originally intended for single-speed hubs. While the rear-facing dropouts are optimized for single-speed setups, the Roaduno can also be run with gears by adding a rear derailleur. It has impressive tire clearance—up to 46mm—allowing it to be set up for more off-pavement riding if desired.
The Rivendell Roadini, by contrast, is also an all-road bike, but it uses more traditional 130mm rear hub spacing and is meant to be run with a rear derailleur. Unlike traditional road bikes, it offers generous tire clearance (up to 43mm without fenders), a more comfortable riding position, and—most importantly—rides like a Rivendell.
Want One Like This?
This Roaduno has already found its rider, but if you’re inspired by this build, we are currently accepting pre-orders for the Rivendell Roadini. Like all of our Rivendell builds, each Roadini is tailored to the rider, offering the same thoughtful design, comfort, and versatility that define Rivendell road bikes.
