The Velo Orange Chronos Rear Disc Hub combines classic styling, modern engineering, and exceptional serviceability. Designed for gravel riding, touring, bikepacking, and everyday commuting, the Chronos is a great choice for a custom wheel build where durability, reliability, and good looks matter.
At Ottawa Bike and Trail, we appreciate components that are built to last and easy to maintain. The Chronos features a floating ratchet engagement system instead of traditional pawls, providing dependable engagement and excellent strength under high torque loads. Oversized flanges accommodate premium sealed cartridge bearings for smooth rolling performance over thousands of miles.
One of our favorite features is the tool-free serviceability. Both the freehub body and endcaps can be removed by hand, making routine maintenance and even roadside spoke replacement easier. The included interchangeable endcaps also allow the hub to work with either 135mm quick-release or 142mm thru-axle frames, making it a versatile option for a wide range of builds.
