Savanna Chestnut

A small town native hailing from the flint hills of Kansas, Savanna Chestnut's voice is as clear and country as the prairie sky she grew up under and her songwriting reflects her down-home, no-frills character.
Weda Skirts
Moonrise Campfire 8:00 to 9:30 pm
Weda Skirts is a five-piece vocal group from the Flint Hills of Kansas, known for their harmonious blend of bluegrass, folk, roots, and pop music. Formed in 2009 as "The Skirts," the band reintroduced themselves as Weda Skirts in 2019, a name reflecting their view of the world and a new chapter in their lives and work. Their repertoire centers around original compositions, complemented by unique renditions of popular rock and folk songs. Weda Skirts has released two full-length studio albums: "Many Moons" in 2016 and "Mother" in 2018. With their captivating harmonies and engaging performances, Weda Skirts continues to enchant audiences throughout Kansas and beyond.
Little Miss Dynamite!

Little Miss Dynamite brings a high-energy blend of folk, bluegrass, and pop-infused harmonies to the Moonrise Bike Ride. Led by Kansas City singer-songwriter and choral music educator Beth Watts Nelson, along with co-founder Caleb Gardner—both known for their work with KC’s beloved bluegrass band, Konza Swamp—the band delivers a fresh yet timeless sound. Joined by fiddle virtuoso Betse Ellis (The Wilders) and anchored by the dynamic bass playing of Brandon Day, Little Miss Dynamite weaves together old-time fiddle tunes, heartfelt originals, and classic favorites. Their rich three- and four-part harmonies will lift your spirit and keep your wheels turning all night long!
John Depew & Depewgrass

John Depew is a Kansas-born songwriter and musician whose unique blend of wit and talent has earned him recognition as the 2022 Kansas State Mandolin Champion and a Krutz Artist. A member of KAC’s Kansas Touring Artist Roster, his music has been described as “a nightmare for your ears… in a good way!” For the Moonrise Bike Ride, he’s bringing Depewgrass, a soulful mix of bluegrass and Americana featuring Jimmy & Karla Campbell and Ben Kuglin. With rich harmonies, skillful picking, and an authentic roots sound, Depewgrass sets the perfect soundtrack for a magical night under the stars.
