Moonrise Underground 2026 – Event Registration

Date: June 20-21st, 2026

Join us for the inaugural Moonrise Underground, a two-day bikepacking adventure hosted by Ottawa Bike and Trail. This unique experience combines scenic rail-trail riding, small-town charm, live entertainment, and camping under the stars.

Riders will depart from Ottawa Bike and Trail and travel 68 miles along the Prairie Spirit and Southwind Trails to Humboldt, Kansas. After setting up camp at Base Camp Humboldt, participants will enjoy an evening ride into Downtown Humboldt for food, shopping, and live music on the historic square. The night concludes with a signature moonlight ride back to camp. On Sunday morning, riders will gather for a catered breakfast before heading back to Ottawa.

Registration Price: $65.00 plus tax

Your Registration Includes:

• Organized group ride from Ottawa to Humboldt (68 miles)

• Designated camping space at Base Camp Humboldt

• Access to Base Camp Humboldt facilities

• Evening group ride to Downtown Humboldt

• Live music and entertainment on the Downtown Square

This is a self-supported bikepacking event. Riders are responsible for their own bicycles, gear, food purchases in town, and personal equipment.

Refund Policy

All registrations are non-refundable. This event requires advance commitments for camping, catering, entertainment, and logistics. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another rider with advance notice to the event organizers.

This event will take place rain or shine. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate riders in the event of inclement weather; however, due to the nature of the event and the advance expenses involved, refunds cannot be issued due to weather conditions.

Rider Responsibility & Waiver

All participants ride at their own risk. Cycling involves inherent risks, including but not limited to traffic, road and trail conditions, weather, and mechanical issues. By participating, riders acknowledge and accept full responsibility for their safety and well-being throughout the event.

A signed waiver must be on file with Ottawa Bike and Trail prior to participating in Moonrise Underground or any Ottawa Bike and Trail–hosted event. Riders will not be permitted to participate without a completed and signed waiver.
